Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition

The Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition is designed to make the transition from an acoustic to an electric kit as smooth as possible. The Special Edition of the Strike Pro has been graced with a few tweaks and upgrades including the enhanced and even more responsive mesh-heads. The rubber of the cymbal pads has also been improved to better match the rest of the kit and now have a softer sound and feel than most electronic kits. The most important visual difference between the standard Strike Pro and the Special Edition is the 20-inch kick drum; enlarged to make the playing feel even more authentic than it was before. Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition Electronic Drum Kit The 20-inch kick is just the beginning of this monster of an eleven-piece kit including an 8, 10, 12 and 14-inch tom and a 14-inch snare, the shells of which are made of wood; an almost entirely unique choice for an electronic kit. Three 14-inch crashes are included as well as a 16-inch rode and a 14-inch hi-hat. The crash and ride cymbals have a choke-function so they respond when hand-dampened while the ride also has a triple-zone pad for assignment of cup, bow and edge sounds. Performance Module At the heart of this kit is the Alesis Performance Module. Home to more than 1800 drum and percussion samples, this module also features 136 realistic pre-programmed drum kits while the Strike Software editor allows the configuration of custom kits that can be loaded in via USB. The module boasts a built-in sampler, an SD card slot, as well as a USB/MIDI port and a 4.3-inch colour LED display that shows all current selections and settings.
