The Shower-proof breathable outer has your horse covered and shoulder pleats ensure maximum comfort and freedom of movement. This pony turnout rug is made from a 600 denier ripstop outer with nylon lining to prevent rubbing, cross surcingles, elasticated detachable leg straps, double buckle breast fastenings and a tail flap for additional protection. Available in Navy with Purple Bindings. Although we state that our Lightweight turnout rugs are showerproof, the materials used are certified waterproof. Whilst water will not penetrate the material itself, due to strong winds or heavy rain, water can get up under the light rug, or run down the horses neck under the rug, and so it would be deceptive to label the rug as completely waterproof.
