Cellar for 10 years or more. Decant for an hour more before serving. This is a classic Pinot Noir from Burgundy, layered with delicate aromas of raspberry jam, tart red currants, strawberries, freshly turned soil, dried herbs, and spice. The fruits were sourced from the Cote d’Or, Burgundy’s greatest stretch of winemaking land, which rests on a long limestone escarpment. The Meo and Camuzet families have been close for over a century, and making wine for much longer than that - in 1983, the first wines bearing the Meo-Camuzet label were released. These days, the winery is run by Jean-Nicolas Meo and his wife Nathalie, an innovative duo who source most of their grapes from estate-owned vineyards. However, they also own a négoce business, where they purchase grapes from growers, expanding their portfolio and establishing a more accessible range of wines. In the mouth, the Cote d’Or is juicy and well-rounded, with a solid structure provided by velvety tannins and wiry acidity. It was aged
