PRE-CUT SLOT - Each 2x2 drainage gauze is pre-cut with a slot that goes down half the sponge. The cleavage in the pad allows the gauze to fit quickly and easily around most IVs and tubes, eliminating the need for additional instruments. With pre-split sponges, you can use the I.V. quickly without causing too much discomfort to your patient.
