While the old adapter needed 19mm of steerer tube, the new one is only 4mm thick and can fit on a standard 1-1.8 diameter fork. That means you don't need to worry about it interfering with your cable routing or stopping the handlebars turning all the way. Basically, Urban Iki is now compatible with a far wider range of bikes than ever before.
