OVERPROOF RUM - Smugglers Reserve Overproof Rum is inspired by the events of 14 August 1815, when the brig ‘Andrew Savage’, originally from Portaferry, ran aground laden with fine rum from Belfast Bay in Antigua. TASTING NOTES - Copeland Overproof rum boasts pleasantly familiar aromas such as corner shop ice-cream and candied orange. The taste is a smooth and velvet-like experience of spiced honey, vanilla and dried fruit. HOW TO ENJOY - This delicious, fine Rum can be enjoyed neat over ice with lime or as part of your favourite Rum cocktails. DARK 'N' STORMY COCKTAIL - The glass of choice for us for a Dark & Stormy is a tall highball glass. Simply fill the glass with ice and add 25ml of juice from a squeezed lime, 150ml of ginger beer - fiery if you can get it - and 2-3 dashes of Angostura Bitters. Pour over 60ml of our Copeland Smugglers’ Reserve rum, or our Overproof rum if you prefer, and garnish with a wedge of fresh lime.
