Lowenergie LED Tube lights are the future of low energy with long life operation. Energy Efficient & Environmentally Friendly with no hazardous materials like mercury used in fluorescent tubes. These Lowenergie LED tube lights look exactly the same as fluorescent tubes when turned on but use half the power. The 4000K neutral/cool white colour is equivalent to the old 840 fluorescent tubes. The 6000K day white colour is equivalent to the old 865 fluorescent tubes. When changing a fitting from fluorescent to LED tube lights - firstly the fluorescent Starter MUST always be removed - we will provide instructions relating to this. We do also recommend a very simple wiring alteration within the light fitting to remove the fluorescent starter and ballast transformer for longest life and maximum energy savings. Our Lowenergie led tubes simply operate by 240v live feed to both pins at one end and neutral feed to both pins at the opposite end which is the same as the current fluorescent fitting wiring. Ballast transformers are always recommended for removal for full energy saving potential as this will still use 2-3 watts wasting some energy. There may be some instances where the tube holders need to be turned through 90 degrees to ensure the light output for the new led tube faces downwards although this may only be for some types of quad light units.
