Flowers of sulphur is used as a dust treatment for flower bulbs to prevent rot and provide essential nutrients. Sulphur in plants helps form important enzymes and assists in the formation of plant proteins, particularly chlorophyll, as well as acting as a soil conditioner. It can help reduce the sodium content of soils. Sulphur in plants is a component of some vitamins and is important in helping give flavour to mustard, onions and garlic.
