The patented side opening arm is produced using an innovative injection molding technique. The outer articulated arm of the stirrup facilitates the release of the foot in case of emergency. The opening of the stress-actuated locking and unlocking mechanism is located one centimeter higher than the tread to prevent the foot from slipping sideways by mistake and sand and dirt from delaying the opening action of the arm.
