The Acoustic Energy AE300 MK2 is a compact standmount speaker with marked upgrades over the original AE300. It features newly developed drivers including a 120mm paper and coconut-fibre cone for beautifully natural midrange clarity and a 29mm soft dome tweeter for cleaner high frequencies. Acoustic Energy have also redesigned the cabinet itself using 18mm layered RSC MDF with internal damping to reduce resonance and keep your sound controlled. Around the back the slot port cabinet design has also been refined to help extend bass without muddiness while also relieving internal pressure. Featuring crossover innovations from the flagship Corinium project Acoustic Energys design optimises crossover behaviour across the entire driver-cabinet ensemble reducing phase distortion and preserving musicality.
