The new icicles PRO HardTube fittings from Alphacool, are a further development of the well-known previous icicles. In the development of fittings, Alphacool focused on a specific problem: the deformation of PETG HardTubes at high temperatures. These can deform at 60°C. Although such a temperature is usually rarely reached, it can still stand up. Deformation is prevented by the new nylon inserts inside and stabilises the hard tubes. Furthermore, the fitting still has an O-ring and a compression seal. However, the contact surface is much larger than normal O-rings, which ensures a better grip. Thanks to the insert and the compression seal in the screw connection, the tube is reinforced from the inside and outside. Even with higher loads, the HardTube does not slip. Alphacool has tested the tensile strength of up to 8 kg. So you do not have to worry about this.
