The built-in silicone Omega pad leaves the patella pressure-free and provides intermittent compression to the soft tissue of the joint, which increases circulation, helping resorption of swelling and oedema. The three-dimensional fabric with the knee covered prevents window oedema, but keeps pressure out of the patella.
