Applications: These heavy duty spring steel links/clips are designed to connect the pump handle mechanism of many makes of hydraulic trolley jacks (and some bottle jacks) to the top of the hydraulic pump piston. Easy to install: The clip is easy to fit, generally requiring only a pair of grips or large pliers to install. Instructions: Simply remove the cotter pin from the link retainer, remove the link retainer and then remove the original broken/damaged link (if it hasn't already fallen out). Fit the new link and rotate it so that the pin goes all the way through the link and secure the pin. Take the opportunity to lubricate all moving parts! NOTE: If the hydraulic pump piston is jammed (which it may well be if the jack has not been used for a long time), DO NOT attempt to use the clip to release the piston as this will almost certainly damage the clip. Release the piston BEFORE fitting the clip.
