The 8 mm Rando rope from Beal is designed for high altitude walking and glacier crossing.It will be possible to progress with any type of dynamic rope: a single rope, a double rope, or a twin rope.Tying-in to the line is almost universal. The BEAL choice is a twin rope. In order to make the dynamic results of this rope more realistic, BEAL has decided to indicate performances closer to its use than the performances of a twin rope tested on 2 strands.
