The 8 mm Rando rope from Beal is designed for high altitude walking and glacier crossing.It will be possible to progress with any type of dynamic rope: a single rope, a double rope, or a twin rope.Tying-in to the line is almost universal. The BEAL choice is a twin rope. In order to make the dynamic results of this rope more realistic, BEAL has decided to indicate performances closer to its use than the performances of a twin rope tested on 2 strands. Thus, the chosen drop factor is limited to 0.8 but with 80 kg on 1 strand, and the impact force measured also with these same stresses.The Rando has a diameter of 8mm and a weight of 37g per metre, which makes it a compact rope that will be there when you need it!
