Beronia Crianza 2019

Beronia Crianza is a red wine from the D.O. Rioja, crafted by Bodegas Beronia. This winery is part of the González Byass group and is located in the municipality of Ollauri, in the heart of La Rioja Alta. With its name, Bodegas Beronia pays tribute to the distant past of the Rioja lands and their earliest known inhabitants, the Berones, a warrior Celtic tribe that dwelled in these lands during the 3rd century BC. Beronia Crianza belongs to the winery's range of classic wines. It is primarily made from the Tempranillo variety, with small percentages of Garnacha and Mazuelo. The grapes are sourced from 20 hectares of estate-owned vineyards surrounding the winery. The soil where the vineyards are planted is predominantly clay-limestone. Its production involves a slow fermentation at controlled temperatures with periodic pump-overs to enhance the extraction of colour and aromas.
