It features a traditional “wet wax” cotton fabric (PFC free) made by Britain’s leading traditional waxer to keep you protected. We've added a contrast underside to the brim to reduce glare and add that special B&S styling. This is the perfect complement to a quality wax jacket for your daily walk. WATERPROOF FABRIC: Utilising a high-performance traditional wet wax fabric, the Explorer will protect you from everyday rain. However, unlike our waterproof baseball and flat caps, it does not have taped seams so will allow some water penetration in the worst conditions - the Explorer is best thought of as an everyday hat to protect you from the sun and rain, best suited for hiking, country pursuits and holiday adventures. Forget the cheap materials used in less exclusive hats, the PFC free wax cotton used in the Explorer maintains a soft and natural feel and develops a delightful patina with age. EASY CARE and TRAVEL FRIENDLY: This all-season hat can be easily surface cleaned with a clothes brush or damp cloth. Strong and durable it is easily stored or packed.
