These accessories (which have an X-shaped bore) can be mounted or swapped out in a matter of seconds, without need for additional tools or removable components that can become lost or misplaced - the accessory is simply pressed onto the X Lock interface to lock it in place, or released by using the switch on top of the gear housing - accessories cannot be mounted incorrectly and an audible click lets you know once everything is securely locked in place and ready to go.
