FINE CHAMPAGNE DESIGNATION - MINIMUM 50% GRANDE CHAMPAGNE - The Fine Champagne designation is one of the most prestigious in Cognac and requires that the blend contains a minimum of 50% Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, with the remainder drawn from Petite Champagne. Braastad XO Fine Champagne meets this standard from the family's own vines at Chateau de Triac, situated in Jarnac at the border of Grande Champagne. LEATHER, TRUFFLES AND HAZELNUT - A COGNAC OF GREAT FINESSE - Dark chocolate in colour, reflecting the deep maturation of the eaux-de-vie within. The nose is developed and complex: leather, truffle and wood smoke, with a deep underlying sweetness. The palate is well-balanced and harmonic with notes of hazelnut and toasted oak, leading to a long, beautifully developed rancio finish - the hallmark of truly old Cognac.
