Brunello di Montalcino 2020 - San Polo

The ultimate expression of Sangiovese, Brunello di Montalcino is characterised by its power, elegance and excellent ageing potential. Produced from the historic vineyards of San Polo, cultivated organically at an altitude of over 400 metres in the far south-east of the DOCG zone, this Brunello was aged for 30 months in oak barrels and for a further 6 months in the bottle before release, in accordance with the appellation's specifications. On the nose, the 2020 vintage reveals complex aromas of prunes, ripe cherries and red berries, along with notes of violet, aromatic wood and balsamic. On the palate, the wine is warm, full-bodied and dense, with a long finish featuring pronounced tannins. This vintage, characterised by its aromatic richness, freshness and depth, promises to age harmoniously over time (best enjoyed after 2027).
