The heritage of the product dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries, when sailors and merchants of the West Indies added Caribbean fruits and spices to their rum to enhance its flavour, calling it "Bumbu". Bumbu uses the finest sugarcane from locally sustainable farms selected from eight countries throughout the Caribbean and South America Our Rum is distilled using two continuous stills, at a historic Barbadian distillery founded in 1893, whose traditional rum stills date back to 1840 After the distillation and aging process, Bumbu is blended with all-natural native Caribbean ingredients, rested, blended again and finally bottled and corked
