Sweet and spicy, like a fresh fruit salad with pears and sweet apples in lemon juice finished with a splash of cream from fresh-toasted oak.Cardhu can trace its history back to 1811 when John and Helen Cumming first started to distil- albeit without a licence initially (neighbours would look out for the Red Flag, which was a sign that excise officer was visiting). As soon as the family were able to afford the correct paperwork this was done with the distillery experiencing fantastic growth from its tiny beginnings throughout the mid 19th century.Sweet, spicy and fruity.
