Château Brane-Cantenac is a true legend in Bordeaux. An estate dating back to the 18th century, it boasts some of the finest vineyards in the Médoc, where one of the region's most acclaimed wines was already being crafted, even before the 1855 classification. The Baron de Brane, known as the "Napoleon of the vines," was instrumental in the popularity of the cabernet sauvignon grape in the Médoc and, recognising the exceptional value of these vineyards, purchased the estate from the Groce family in 1833, also lending his name to it. In 1902, the Lurton family acquired the estate, and after four generations, they have succeeded in reaffirming the exquisite terroir of Château Brane-Cantenac, making it one of the most sought-after names in Margaux.
