The Coovar Anti-Corrosive Red Oxide Paint delivers robust alkyd-based protection engineered for structural steel, tanks, metalwork, iron gates, and pipework. This dual-purpose primer and finish combines corrosion resistance with a decorative gloss coating, offering reliable application across demanding metal installations. The alkyd formulation provides excellent adhesion and durability, with coverage of approximately 13m² per litre. Application flexibility is ensured through compatibility with brush, roller or airless spray methods, while white spirit enables thinning and cleaning as required. Touch dry in 5 hours with hard dry achieved within 24 hours, the coating delivers a recommended dried film thickness of 35-40 microns. The finish can be left as a standalone gloss coating or overcoated for enhanced protection in high-exposure environments.
