Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye / 75cl

Named as Jim Murray's 2016 World Whisky of the Year. Made with 90% rye, this is gently spicy with soft pepper, vanilla and butterscotch notes. Crown Royal was made in 1939 when a Canadian spirits entrepreneur heard of the impending trip of the reigning British King & Queen (the first of it's kind). He set about to make a whisky fit for the monarchs and after trailing over 600 variation he settled on one with a blend of roughly 50 whiskeys and a legend was born.
