The Denis Wick Ultra SM4XR Euphonium Mouthpiece is a newly designed Euphonium mouthpiece from virtuoso player Steven Mead. Steven has worked with Denis Wick on this new addition to the popular Denis Wick Ultra range of mouthpieces. The Denis Wick Euphonium mouthpieces are based on the proven design of the Trombone mouthpieces with further refinements and improvements made by Steven Mead. The Ultra 4XR has numerous design changes compared to the 4X. The rim is now rounder increasing comfort for your lips. There is also now a newly designed inner shape and a slightly reduced cup depth making the mouthpiece very responsive. Your playing will excel in the higher registers as well as the middle range. as the notes you play will speak with extra clarity and energy.
