Ceanothus Dentatus or Californian Lilac, commonly known as, differs from other ceanothus being slightly smaller in stature, and is broad and compact which makes it ideal for the smaller garden. Ceanothus Dentatus is an evergreen shrub, bearing oblong, dark green, glossy leaves. Dark blue flowers are borne profusely in large clusters during late spring-early summer, the colour of these flowers are magnificent and really stand out within a shrub or mixed border.
