DIYUK 6mm Wire Rope Thimble - DIN 6899B Galvanised Steel Rigging Eye - Pack of 2

Manufactured to DIN 6899 Form B - the standard light-pattern wire rope thimble profile, distinct from the heavier Form A pattern used with larger chain and rigging gear. This 6mm size measures 24.5mm (0.96in) overall length, with a 7.5mm (0.30in) eye width and 16.0mm (0.63in) eye length - proportioned specifically to a 6mm (0.24in) rope diameter, not shared across sizes. Galvanised steel construction gives durable, general-purpose corrosion resistance, suiting outdoor, marine and general engineering environments. The curved groove profile spreads the load evenly around the rope loop, protecting the wire rope from wear and crushing at the eye and helping it keep its natural bend radius and strength. Sits inside the finished rope loop rather than acting as a standalone fitting - secure with wire rope clamps or a swaged/spliced termination. Typical uses include rigging and lifting slings, marine applications, fencing and balustrade wire tensioning, and general engineering.
