DIYUK Galvanised Steel Flat Joining Plate 200 x 35 x 2.5mm, Heavy Duty Timber Repair Bracket, Pack of 1

Corrosion-resistant construction: made from Z275 galvanised steel with a declared characteristic yield strength of 220 N/mm² and a minimum 20% elongation at failure, so the plate flexes slightly under overload rather than fracturing suddenly, an important safety characteristic in a structural timber connector. Exact size for your joint: each plate measures 200 x 35 x 2.5mm (approx. 7.87 x 1.38 inches), with pre-punched fixing holes on both sides of the joint, so you can nail or screw it straight into place without drilling on site. Fits almost any joint, not just a corner: unlike an angle bracket, which only suits a fixed 90 degree corner, this flat plate can be positioned across a straight splice, a lap joint or a crack in an existing timber member, making it suited to fences, decking, roof trusses, stud walls and general timber framing. Supplied as a pack of 1 flat joining plate, for a single repair or joint. Manufactured to the harmonised European standard EN 14545:2008 under System 2+, assessed by notified body Building Research Institute (ITB), Poland (notified body 1488), with the Z275 coating rated for service classes 1 and 2 under EN 1995-1-1 (Eurocode 5), suitable for enclosed structures and sheltered outdoor timber work.
