DIYUK Yellow Zinc Torx Countersunk Wood Screws, 100mm x 5.0mm (10g x 4in), Multi-Purpose Timber Fixings, Pack of 100

Reliable drive engagement: the Torx (TX) recess is matched exactly to this screw gauge, giving deep contact around the full profile of the bit rather than at a few points, so torque spreads evenly and cam-out stays low even when driving a large number of fixings with a cordless drill or impact driver. Built for the job in hand: this 100mm long, 5.0mm diameter screw (10g x 4in) has a sharp, self-piercing point that starts cleanly on contact and a deep, coarse thread that cuts its own path through the material, so it resists pull-out once seated and works confidently across softwood, hardwood and manufactured boards such as MDF, chipboard and plywood. Suited to general carpentry, joinery and timber-frame construction work, where the deep, coarse thread's pull-out resistance helps secure the connection, plus fencing and decking substructure fixing in sheltered or covered locations. Supplied as a pack of 100 countersunk wood screws in this 5.0mm x 100mm size, so you know exactly what quantity and size you are getting. Yellow zinc-plated steel body for useful corrosion resistance in interior use and sheltered or covered exterior applications, with fine ribs machined under the countersunk head that pull it flush with the timber surface for a clean, professional finish without pre-countersinking by hand. Simple to install correctly: match the Torx bit size exactly to the screw gauge before driving, since a loose or worn bit is the most common cause of cam-out; drill a small pilot hole on hardwoods or near the edge of a board, while softwoods and manufactured boards will normally take the self-piercing point without one.
