DIYUK Zinc Plated Steel Screw-in Cup Hooks, Heavy Duty Wood Thread Ceiling Hook, 80mm x 6.0mm, Pack of 2

Solid zinc-plated steel: made from robust steel throughout, with an open cup hook profile that lets items be hung, and unhooked, straight from the shank rather than through a closed eye. The finish is a bright zinc plating (BZP) that acts as a sacrificial layer, corroding in place of the steel beneath it, so the hook keeps its strength and rigidity under load without bending or distorting. Fixes into timber or masonry: a sharp, self-tapping wood-thread point drives straight into timber and similar materials without pre-drilling in most softwoods, which saves time over standard screws on multi-hook jobs such as cable runs or trellis fixing. The same screw head also takes a standard wall plug for fixing into brick, block or masonry, so one hook design covers both substrates (wall plug not included). The longest, thickest hook in this listing: keep tools, garden equipment or a bike off the floor in a garage, shed or workshop, or hang a well-loaded basket or planter from a sturdy beam or bracket without the hook flexing. Pack of 2 screw-in cup hooks (80mm x 6.0mm) only; no wall plugs or fixings are included, so add your own plug if fixing into masonry. Each hook fits by hand or with a screwdriver through its eye, with no pilot hole needed in most softwoods. Genuinely sacrificial corrosion protection: the zinc coating corrodes ahead of the steel beneath it rather than acting as a simple surface barrier, making it sound for general indoor and outdoor UK use; for a permanent fixing in coastal or heavily salt-laden locations, a stainless steel hook will typically outlast a zinc-plated one.
