The 8240 has a a motor brake which allows the user more control over the machine in use rather than applying a slow force the machine will stop rotating when the tool is turn off. The rotary tool has an led light with variable speed and a updated trigger in the middle of the machine. The machine will also run cooler and with less noise than the previous 8220 model.
