Made in DT's European facility, the 3rd generation ARC 1100's use a fully proprietary carbon rim developed in conjunction with the Aero research team at Swiss Side and extensively tested at the GST wind tunnel just over the border in Germany. The new rim design features a 22 mm internal width optimised for 28-30mm tyres in a unique hybrid V-shape that allows the use of deeper rims whilst giving superior crosswind stability even compared to the previous shallower designs. The rim's construction also takes advantage of developments in DT's in house carbon manufacturing with a further refined carbon lay-up and prefect 'out the mould' finish requiring no additional cosmetic veneer to be added.
