Neoprene is a 0.1 mm-thick protection silica coating applied to the casing to extend the lifetime by preventing the tyre casing to absorb humidity and mud. The coating does not affect the tyre functionality and comfort. The Flying Doctor casing is made with 87.5% cotton and 12.5% kevlar.
