Passion fruit or “maracuja” come from the Passiflora edulis vine species, a climbing plant which originated in Paraguay, Brazil and in the north-east of Argentina. Briottet’s flavoursome liqueur marries perfectly with all types of fruit juice and more especially with orange juice and with apple juice.The heir to a wine house, our establishment was created in 1836. In the 1900s, faced with the growing popularity of the “blanc-cassis” aperitif, Edmond Briottet gradually abandoned the wine trade to focus on making Crème de Cassis.
