The longer blade can be used for pruning, shaping and thinning out small hedges, shrubs and trees, and the smaller grass blade is ideal for mowing small patches of grass, for instance in between obstacles where larger tools like lawnmowers may not fit. The blades are easy to change over without the need for any other tools.
