It is matured in first fill and refill Sherry butts and hogsheads and is bottled at a higher strength of 54.5% to express the whisky’s full flavour. RICH & SPICY SMOKE EMBERS WITH DRIED AUTUMN FRUITS & DARK CHOCOLATE - On the nose, tobacco, cigar smoke and aromatic notes of lemon and ginger, treacle toffee and dark brown sugar. On the palate, Islay single malt from a south-coast distillery brings flavours of dried fruits and dark chocolate while a north-coast distillery contributes notes of lemon oil and smoke. It has a long, sweet, and spicy finish with sweet smoke and autumnal fruits.
