Developed in collaboration with 112dB.com, the Erica Synths Steampipe is all about physical modelling, or more specifically: Karplus-Strong string synthesis. That means that instead of classic sawtooth waveforms and filters, you'll basically be using extensive delay lines to create the sound of plucked strings or, with a tweak or two, convincing wind instrument sounds. What's also pretty sweet is that it comes with a fat reverb effect that, combined with the internal sound engine, is perfect for generating washy soundscapes.
