The EVANS Onyx Resonant Drumhead 22 is a single ply resonant head made from a 10mil film offering clean attenuation. A 5 microphone port not only gives easy access for microphone placement but also enhances the pitch and attack letting the air inside move freely. The frost coating that appears matte black increases low-end response and attack accentuating the resonance of the shell and cutting through mixes. An overtone control ring dampens the head slightly reducing some unwanted overtones and keeps the sustain short to make it ideal for both live and studio applications.Producing a dark sound that makes your kick drum sound like a cannon with a stand-out sleek black finish the Onyx Resonant Head looks great with a wide variety of finishes.
