Faithfull gas quality P.T.F.E (polytetrafluoroethylene) tape will provide a gas air and water tight seal on threaded joints. This invaluable tape is an essential component when working on gas pipework. Suitable for use on BS21 threads up to 50mm (2in). It is non-adhesive no need for messy compounds. It won’t harden or dry out and is resistant to cracking impermeable to ˃20 bar and performs a lubricating function. Used in the plumbing and heating industries for sealing pipes conduits bolts valves and threaded gas lines that carry all common gases such as air oxygen ammonia butane chlorine and hydrogen and liquids such as water propylene glycol kerosene and diesel.
