Filey Bay STR Finish (Batch 4) Single Malt Whisky

STR FINISH SINGLE MALT WHISKY-. After maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the single malt is finished in STR casks- these are shaved, toasted and recharred ex-red wine casks, which leave delicious red fruit flavours in our STR finish. SPIRIT OF YORKSHIRE- Pick the bottle up, and underneath you'll see a secret phrase... "Proudly Made of Yorkshire." Filey Bay is the first single malt whisky made in, and of, Yorkshire- created by us, from field to bottle, here on the coast. FILEY BAY- Our Single Malt's name reflects our local area. From the distillery window, we see the sea and the bay's curve. Our bespoke bottle captures the textures of the farm, soil, beach, and sky, embodying the essence of our surroundings. TASTING NOTES- Shaving, toasting and recharring tempers the tannins in the red wine casks and allows the flavour inside the wood to really come to the fore. These fruity tones perfectly compliment the light and creamy notes from the bourbon casks.
