The Gibson Hummingbird Special is a handcrafted acoustic with the legendary Hummingbird tone in a more accessible package. Built in Bozeman Montana it features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides delivering a warm balanced sound with excellent dynamic range. The concert-depth body is slightly slimmer than a standard Hummingbird offering a tighter bass response and enhanced playing comfort. Designed for smooth playability the utile neck has a comfortable round profile a rosewood fretboard and pearloid parallelogram inlays. The traditional belly-up rosewood bridge is fitted with a TUSQ saddle nut and bridge pins for optimal sustain and tone. Equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze pickup and soundhole-mounted volume control its ready for any stage or studio performance straight out of the included premium softshell case.
