The Giro Tyrant MIPS helmet uses the latest protection technology through the use of the spherical MIPS system. An extra protection against impacts that consists of a double construction of the helmet's shell. There is a first layer of low density hard foam for low velocity EPP impacts (the inner layer, which is softer) that rotates with respect to the outer layer, made of EPS foam (ideal for high velocity impacts). The internal layer floats around the external one, better absorbing rotational impacts and obtaining an extra layer of protection with respect to the conventional helmets with the MIPS system. It also incorporates an adjustable visor, ideal for those who wear downhill masks and want to flip them ready to climb, there's enough space to do so without causing you any fuss.
