GamFratesi, 2020 Concept: The sculptural and breathtaking coffee table Epic from GUBI is designed by the Danish-Italian Duo GamFratesi and draws inspiration from ancient Greek columns and Roman architecture. The table was originally designed in travertine stone, but is here made of steel that has been galvanized, varnished and given a number of surface treatments by hand to give each table a completely unique expression, which is why no two tables are alike. GamFratesi's thinking is that if you place the material as the core of the design, designing a new piece of furniture becomes an intellectual project and a celebration of the material.
