Laurent-Perrier is the world-famous Champagne House found in the elite Grand Cru area of Champagne. The La Cuvée comes from the purest grape juice and is a blend of over 50% Chardonnay, double the usual amount in Champagne, 30 - 35% Pinot Noir and 10 - 15% Pinot Meunier, giving the wine its unique personality. The house of Laurent-Perrier was created in 1812 by Alphonse Pierlot and sold to the Nonancourt family in 1939. It has since become one of the most famous of the Grandes Marques (‘Big Name’) Champagnes, and is also the region’s largest family owned house.
