French designer Inga Sempé lives and works in Paris and has already won several awards. In 2003 she received the Grand Design Prize of the City of Paris, and in 2007 she won the Red Dot Design Award for her Moël upholstered furniture. Many of her lamps have shades reminiscent of fans, allowing a varied interplay of light and shadow, including the Matin series of lamps she designed for Danish manufacturer HAY.
