Crafted from molasses in a column still, it undergoes a unique maturation journey-12 years of tropical ageing in Panama in American Oak ex-Bourbon casks, followed by 7 years of continental ageing in ex-rum casks in the UK. This careful ageing process defines its exceptional character. This single cask release, bottled in 2023, offers an exclusive taste with only 254 bottles produced. DISTILLERY - Varela Hermanos, a renowned Panamanian rum producer with a rich history dating back to 1908, benefits from the tropical climate of Pesé. Located in the heart of Panama, this environment accelerates maturation, resulting in complex, full-bodied rums with a distinct character and a balance of sweetness and spice. NOSE - Indulge in the rich, aromatic profile of this premium rum, where notes of vanilla and custard cream are elegantly woven with a subtle sweetness of fudge and liquorice roots. A touch of overripe banana and a gentle spiciness of ground black pepper add complexity, while a hint of balsamic note provides a refreshing counterpoint.
