IDP Smart 51 ID Card Printer Single-Sided Badge Printer

The IDP Smart 51 is a direct-to-card (DTC) printer. Being a DTC ID card printer means that it's best suited to printing simple card designs that don't go over or to the edge of a card. It is not recommended to use DTC (Direct-to-Card) printers for printing on access control cards. This is because access control cards have an uneven surface that can cause damage to the printer and its print head. If a DTC printer is used to print on an access control card, the result will likely feature design blemishes on the card. IDP Smart 51 part number is 651302. The machine takes a speedy 5 seconds per card for single-colour printing. The IDP Smart 51 prints to standard CR80 credit card-sized cards and CR79-sized cards. The IDP Smart 51 can also print on PVC, PET, PVC ISO cards and paper-based cards. The only card we wouldn’t advise you to use is an access control card as these cards contain a raised chip. With the print cover open the input hopper can hold 200 cards, or 100 with the input hopper closed. The front output card hopper holds 40 cards, and the rear output hopper holds 100. The printer measures 6.5 x 15.4 x 8.3 inches and weighs 4.5 kg.
