Distilled in 2009, the whisky matured for 15 years, beginning in bourbon hogsheads and finishing for three years in casks that previously held a heavily peated Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bringing elegant notes of grassy smoke to the vibrant vanilla, oily oak, baked apples, and candied nuts at its core.
