Joe Fattorini's Tasting Note: "Understanding Burgundy is hard work but like many challenging things, it’s worth the effort. Its vintages vary, but knowing 2011 is ready now helps. It has complex appellations, but then you discover a lowly Bourgogne Blanc made by a truly great winemaker like this in the style of much grander wines. That’s what gives this a subtle but persistent oak spice over lemon and melon fruit, perfect with roast chicken." This wine is produced from parcels coming both from the Côte de Beaune - lending a richness - and from a little further south, giving its wines a fresh, mineral character. Pale colour with crystalline highlights. Fresh nose, notes of citrus and white fruits. Very well-balanced, good acidity, attractive now with a good finesse on the finish. Food Pairing Suggestions: Omelette with truffles, seafood, fish in a butter sauce, poultry, Beaufort and Gouda cheese.
